JACOBS, EARL C., 92, passed away on Tuesday, December 3, 2013.

He was a lab tech for American Synthetic Rubber Co., a member of South Jefferson Christian Church and a U.S. Army Veteran of World War II.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Beatrice Carver Jacobs; son, Donald Jacobs; great-granddaughter, Cortney Hobgood; great-great-grandson, Trenton Hunt; great-great-granddaughter, Charleigh Higdon; son-in-law, Joe Sedoris and daughter-in-law, Janice Jacobs; his parents, Alva and Nancy Applegate Jacobs; seven brothers and four sisters.

Survivors include his eight children, a sister, two brothers, 22 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 15 great-great-grandchildren.

His service will be on Saturday, December 7, 2013 at 1 p.m. at the Valley Station Church of God, 12491 Old Dixie Hwy., with burial in Bethany Memorial Cemetery. Visitation will be on Friday from 1-8 p.m. and after 10 a.m. on Saturday at the W. G. Hardy Funeral Home and Cremation Service.
