Mildred Lawson was born on July 28, 1929, baptized on July 16, 1943, and went home to be with Our Lord on March 19, 2018. She was preceded in death by her husband, LeeRoy Lawson, her daughter, Theresa Kay Lawson, and her parents, Joseph and Sophie Koler. She is survived by her son, grandsons, other relatives and many friends.
Mildred and LeeRoy were married on November 21, 1948 in Oklahoma City. She worked as a secretary and office manager at Standard Life and Accident Insurance until she retired. She and LeeRoy were lifelong RVers, from 1988 until LeeRoy’s passing. She volunteered her time as the librarian at Pipe Creek Community Christian School until a few years ago. She loved attending and serving at her church, Pipe Creek Community Church. Mildred was a Most Worthy Matron of Order of the Eastern Star, and involved with the Crippled Children’s Hospital in Scott-White, Texas, which is associated with the Shriners. She also enjoyed crocheting, needlepoint, and arts and crafts, and loved to bless others with things she made personally for them.
