The Rite of Christian Burial will be held today, Thursday, August 20, 1992, for Maurice Duncan, 39, who passed away August 17. Reverend Father Robert Fangman will be the celebrant for the 10:30 a.m. services from the Annunciation Church. Music will be provided by the Annunciation Choir with Diane Slater as organist. Mark Lenz will serve as Lector. Interment will be in Annunciation Cemetery with his brothers Larry Duncan, Randy Duncan, Kevin Duncan and Bill Duncan serving as casket bearers. Maurice Bernard Duncan, son of Dwaine and Norma Cornelius Duncan, was born February 11, 1953 in Carroll. He attended parochial school in Coon Rapids for eight years and then Coon Rapids Public High school for four years, graduating in 1971. After graduation, Maurice attended the Minnesota Institute of Technology to become a lab technician. After working in Omaha, Ne., for several years, he moved to Chicago, II. He resided there until May of 1992 when, becoming ill with cancer, he returned to Coon Rapids to live with his father. Maurice died on Monday, August 17, 1992, at Clarkson Memorial Hospital, Omaha, Ne., at the age of 39 years, six months and six days. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, and on June 23, 1976, by his mother, Norma Duncan. Survivors include his father, Dwaine Duncan, of Coon Rapids; the following brothers and sisters: Diane Duncan of Omaha, Ne.; Larry Duncan and his wife, Terri, of Windsor, II.; Randy Duncan and his wife, Chris, of Bettendorf; Kevin Duncan and his wife, Kathy, of Colorado Springs, Co.; Bill Duncan and family of Coon Rapids; Kathy Duncan, of Coon Rapids; and Patty and her husband, Mark Lenz, of Sioux Falls, S.D.; seven nieces, four nephews, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.
