Garnet Mae Clapp, 90, of Rensselaer, Indiana passed away Monday, April 2, 2018 at the Rensselaer Care Center. She was born near Newland, Indiana on August 23, 1927, daughter of Toy Arnett, Sr. and Cynthia (Holbrook) Arnett. She was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. Her marriage was to Earl James “Ted” Clapp. He preceded her in death in December of 1989.
Garnet is survived by her loving family: one son, Earl Neil Clapp (wife: Rebecca “Bettybell”); one daughter, Lorna Cynthia Clapp; two grandsons, Steven T. Clapp (wife: Angela) and Garrett H. Clapp (wife: Brandi); and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; one son, Steven D. Clapp; one great-grandson; and her parents.
