She was born near Newland, Indiana on August 23, 1927, daughter of Toy Arnett, Sr. and Cynthia (Holbrook) Arnett. She was a lifelong resident of Jasper County. Her marriage was to Earl James “Ted” Clapp. He preceded her in death in December of 1989.
Garnet is survived by her loving family: one son, Earl Neil Clapp (wife: Rebecca “Bettybell”); one daughter, Lorna Cynthia Clapp; two grandsons, Steven T. Clapp (wife: Angela) and Garrett H. Clapp (wife: Brandi); and 15 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her husband; one son, Steven D. Clapp; one great-grandson; and her parents.
