Betty was born in Roda, Virginia but moved to Kingsport where she resided for the rest of her life and was a member of Fall Creek Baptist Church . She loved “going over the mountain” and spending time with her family. She was full of life and deeply loved by all who knew her.

Betty was preceded in death by her loving husband; Herman “Shorty” Light, daughter; Sharon Marie Coker and grandchildren; Mandy, Mika and Kade.

She is survived by sons; Ronnie (Donna), Terry (Kathy), David (Teresa), daughter; Patty Light, numerous grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Committal services will be on Thursday, April 5, 2018 at 1:00 pm in the Garden of Devotion, East Tennessee Cemetery Blountville, TN. Pastor Gary Gierhart officiating. Family members will serve as pallbearers.

Special thanks to Theresa Southard for all of her help and love, and to Libby Krell for being there when mamaw needed her.
