Skip was born in Tulsa, OK to Earl and Helen Ray. He proudly served for 20 years and was retired from the U.S. Navy. He was a member of St. Lawrence Catholic Church in Bushnell and also was a member of V.F.W. Post #10084 in Lake Panasoffkee, FL.
He is survived by his wife: Therese "Teri" Ray of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; sons: Chip Ray (Nicol) of Yalaha, FL, Joe Ray (Ashley) of Lake Panasoffkee, FL; 6 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers: Michael Ray (Toby) of Center Hill, FL; Jimmy Ray of Moyock, NC; sisters: Sissy Walker (Frank) of Goose Creek, SC, Cindy Ray of Astoria, OH and many nieces and nephews.
