Funeral services for Susan "Corky" Myers-Tipton, age 58, of Painesville Township will be 11 a.m. Monday at Spear-Mulqueeny Funeral Home, 667 Mentor Ave., Painesville.
Born March 22, 1953, in Painesville, she passed away Oct. 18, 2011, at her home.
Corky was a member and canteen manager of American Legion Post 336 in Painesville for the past eight years. Leading with kindness and abundant empathy, she took great pride in her work. Prior to the Legion, she worked for over 20 years at the Stadium Lounge in Painesville.
She enjoyed gardening and spending time with friends and family. Corky's love was felt by many and her never ending compassion, support, and unique sense of humor will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
Survivors include husband, James "Buck" Tipton; son, Jon Mraz of Georgia; daughters, Jeanne (Christopher) Mann of Painesville and Shelby Tipton of Fairport Harbor; siblings, Gary (Veda) Dieterich, Eddie Dieterich, and Pat (Lou) Scherlacher; granddaughter, Caroline Mraz; and dear friends, Carla Noble and Liz Howiler.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Clara Dieterich.
Burial will be held at Riverside Cemetery in Painesville.
