Private Arthur Dumesny went to Polkemmet State School located Northwest of Horsham. His occupation prior to enlistment is noted as a 'Orchadist'.
Arthur enlisted in the Army on April 28 1916, and sailed for the Middle East aboard the Hmat 14 Euripdes from Melbourne on September 11 in the same year. His war service took place on the Western Front with the 6th Battalion , 20th Reinforcement. He returned to Australia October 19 1917.
