Williamstown Busness Owner Dead at Age 81

A Neal (Allison) Allen, 81, of 432 Williams Ave., Williamstown, a prominent businessman and Mason, died Sunday evening at Marietta Memorial Hospital.

He was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, a son of the late Blanchard Elroy and Imogene Price Allen. He was a graduate of Mountain State Business College, Parkersburg, and had resided in Williamstown since 1922 where he had been owner and president of American Bisque Corp.

He was a member of the Williamstown United Methodist Church, Williamstown Senior Citizens, the Scottish Rite, and Williamstown Lodge No. 192 AF&AM.

He is survived by his wife, Eleanor L. Martin Allen, who he married Jan. 9, 1932; a son, Charles Martin Allen of Williamstown; three daughters, Mrs. Charles (Jean) Pickering from Lowell, Ohio, Mrs. David (Carol) Allen Thomas of Brooksville, Fla., and Mrs. Mark (Dr. Jo) Jones of Edinburg, Va.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, at the Williamstown United Methodist Church with the Rev. D. Keith Clarke officiating and burial in Riverview Cemetery where there will be Masonic serves at the gravesite by Williamstown Lodge No. 129.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Minister’s Discressionary Fund at the Williamstown United Methodist Church.
