Funeral services were held Monday in the Pearson Funeral church for Everett C. Staats, 79, who died Saturday of coronary thrombosis at his home, 742A Northeast Jessup street.

Born in Reedy, W. Va., Mr. Staats was married in 1887 to Emma I. Noel of Unionville, Mo. Surviving relatives include the widow, a son, Lloyd E. Staats; a granddaughter, Louise Staats; a sister and brother in Florida and two cousins in Florida.

Mr. and Mrs. Staats celebrated their golden wedding August 14, 1937.
