Obituary: Paul Melvin Stratton, 79, of Big Branch Road, Danville passed away Sunday, October 1, 2017. He was born October 2, 1937 at Camp Creek, WV to the late Thomas Jefferson and Louella Martin Stratton. He was retired from General Motors where he was a machine operator. He was a veteran of the United States Army. He is survived by his wife, Joyce Ann Onderak Stratton; four daughters, Amy Lorene Caplinger of Columbus, OH, Rachel Ann LaPointe (Russell) of Cleveland, OH, Sarah Lucille Shelton (Albert) of Parma, OH and Leah Michelle Hall (Chris) of Medina, OH; one brother, Mack Donald Stratton of Parma Heights, OH; one sister, Betty Lou Ball of Cleveland, OH; four granddaughters, Ashley, Kallie, Summer and Shannon; and two step-grandchildren, Orion and Macks. Visitation will be from 2 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 4 at Handley Funeral Home in Danville, WV. Service will be 1 pm to 2 pm Friday, October 6 at Bauer Funeral Home, Valley City, OH. Burial will be in Litchfield Cemetery, Litchfield, OH.
