Jacquelyn Johnson Wallace, 93, widow of Retired Col. Winston E. Wallace, Sr., died Thursday, June 23, 2011 at Rolling Green Village.
Born in Franklin, VA, she was the daughter of the late Frank Holland and Addie Everett Johnson.
Mrs. Wallace earned a Teaching certificate from Radford College and was a homemaker. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are a daughter, Mary W. Schanler and husband, Richard, of Long Island, NY; two sons, William L. Wallace and wife, Barbara, of Greenville and Winston E. Wallace Jr. and wife, Melanie, of Baton Rouge, LA; five grandchildren, Melanie W. Stewart, William L. Wallace, Jr., Larkin W. Hegler, Susan S. Malitzky and Daniel Schanler; and seven great grandchildren. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by four sisters.
Memorials may be made to Westminster Presbyterian Church, 2310 Augusta Street, Greenville, SC 29605.
A graveside service will be held Sunday, June 26, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Graceland East Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. at Rolling Green Village with visitation following.
The family will be at the residence.
