At age 3 months moved to a farm near Winfield, Kansas, attended Red Valley grade school, graduated from Winfield High School in 1941, received her R.N. at Wm. Newton Memorial Hospital at Winfield in 1944 and Post Graduate in Operating Room Technique at Baylor University Hospital at Baylor, Texas in 1945.
She married Emery Louis Brinkman on September 9, 1946 in El Dorado, Kansas.
They moved to Topeka in 1947, where she worked at the V.A. Hospital operating room, later at Stormont-Vail Hospital operating room. She and her husband owned and operated Brinkman Hobby Welding Shop, Brinkman Mfg. & Fence Co. Inc., Fireworks Supermarket stands, and Brinkman Popall Popper Inc.
Following the death of Emery, she married Clifton Leon Webb on May 15, 2004.
Mrs. Brinkman was a member of First Southern Baptist Church. She and her husband conducted devotional services at several nursing homes in Topeka for many years.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Henry Richard Frederick, her husband Emery of 55 years, husband Clifton, son Gary Dee Brinkman, and daughter Linda Kay Willis.
Survivors include two sons Ronald Lee and wife Sharon, Dennis Jay and wife Vera, daughter Cherie Ann and husband Bud, nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
