Dixie Community, MS – Services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday at Dixie Baptist Church for Mr. Douglas Ferrell Patrick, 82, of the Dixie Community.
He went to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday, January 6, 2016, surrounded by his loving family.
Interment will be in Dixie Baptist Church Cemetery with Full Military Rites performed by the MS Army National Guard.
He was a retired self-employed carpenter and a member of Dixie Baptist Church. He was a U.S. Army and MS National Guard Veteran.
He was preceded in death by his parents, B.L. and Viola Rouse Patrick; two sisters, Brenda Patrick and Clara Mae Weingier.
He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Janet Vera Byrd Patrick of Dixie Community; three sons, Ricky Ferrell Patrick (Debbie), Dennis Paul Patrick and Douglas Alan Patrick (Connie) all of Dixie Community; one daughter, Ruby Veraga Patrick Lawler (Sillman) of Sevierville, TN; two sisters, Betty Walker (Elwood) of Dixie Community and Leah Parker Davis (Bud) of Purvis; three brothers, Ben Patrick (Doris) of Janice Community, Byron Patrick (Sylvia) and Bobby Patrick (Sonya) Both of Dixie Community; eight grandchildren and nineteen great-grandchildren.
Memorials may be sent to American Bible Society, 650 25th Street NW #301, Cleveland, TN 37311.
Visitation will begin at 1:00 p.m. Sunday at Dixie Baptist Church.
