She was an educator at heart. She was kind and soft-spoken and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how big or small. She always looked forward to going to the State Fair of Texas so she could eat her favorite fletcher corny dogs. Julie loved spending the holidays with her family, but her favorite holidays of them all were Halloween and Christmas.
She spent the last few months with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, family and friends, recuperating and enjoying the final phase of her life. Her caring and gentle smile gave a lot of courage, hope and plenty of joyful memories to those close to her and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by 6 brothers, Benny Dorman, Larry Starks, Weldon Colbert and wife Angela, Bryan Starks and wife Misty, John Stewart and wife Deby, Michael Stewart; 2 sisters Carol Starks Swenson and husband Earl, Nancy Stewart Reid and husband Jimmy. 21 Nephews: Derrick, Aaron, Preston, Sean, Tyler, Nathan, Noah, Tim, Gabriel, Jordan, Christopher, Esther, James, Samuel, Caleb, Cody ,Jason, Michael, David, Steven & Benjamin; 24 Nieces: Julie, Jennifer, Jana, Ashley, Kristen, Miranda, Alysha, Stormi, Autumn, Preslei, Chloe, Lauren, Brooklynn, Ellie, Scarlett, Isabella, Sarah, Alexis, Brinlee, Alexa, Hannah, Beth, Mary & Anna.
