After a battle with a rare case of Inflammatory Breast Cancer. Julie Ann Dorman Stewart passed away in the comfort of her home on March 26th, 2018 in Balch Springs, TX at the age 54. She courageously fought the incurable cancer for nine months but unfortunately lost the battle. She leaves behind her husband Byron and son Byron Thomas Stewart, Jr & wife Emily. Julie was born to the late George Dorman and Mary Ellen Woodson Starks on January 23, 1964 in Dallas, TX. She was blessed with a large and loving family. She married her best friend on August 11, 1981. She was a loving wife, mother and homemaker. She has one son(Byron Jr) , whom is a Dallas Police Officer. She considered him as her HERO, her WHOLE WORLD, and he will always be her little boy. Byron Sr was her first kiss, her only love, and her best friend.
She was an educator at heart. She was kind and soft-spoken and always had time to answer a question or solve a problem, no matter how big or small. She always looked forward to going to the State Fair of Texas so she could eat her favorite fletcher corny dogs. Julie loved spending the holidays with her family, but her favorite holidays of them all were Halloween and Christmas.
She spent the last few months with her husband, son, daughter-in-law, family and friends, recuperating and enjoying the final phase of her life. Her caring and gentle smile gave a lot of courage, hope and plenty of joyful memories to those close to her and she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by 6 brothers, Benny Dorman, Larry Starks, Weldon Colbert and wife Angela, Bryan Starks and wife Misty, John Stewart and wife Deby, Michael Stewart; 2 sisters Carol Starks Swenson and husband Earl, Nancy Stewart Reid and husband Jimmy. 21 Nephews: Derrick, Aaron, Preston, Sean, Tyler, Nathan, Noah, Tim, Gabriel, Jordan, Christopher, Esther, James, Samuel, Caleb, Cody ,Jason, Michael, David, Steven & Benjamin; 24 Nieces: Julie, Jennifer, Jana, Ashley, Kristen, Miranda, Alysha, Stormi, Autumn, Preslei, Chloe, Lauren, Brooklynn, Ellie, Scarlett, Isabella, Sarah, Alexis, Brinlee, Alexa, Hannah, Beth, Mary & Anna. Visitation will be from 6-8 p.m. Sunday April 1, 2018 at Troy Suggs Funeral Home. Funeral Service, Monday April 2, 2018 At 11 am Troy Suggs Funeral Home, 7623 Military Pkwy. Dallas, TX 75227. Graveside service to follow at Brinlee Cemetery in Anna, TX.
