Mrs. Kathy Elaine Harris was born to Mrs. Geneva Childs King and to the late Mr. Oliver Harris on August 14, 1963 in Barnesville, Lamar County, Georgia. She received her early education in the public schools of Thomaston. She graduated from R.E. Lee with the Class of 1982.
On August 14, 1982 she married Mr. Johnny Ray Harris. To this union three children were born. To help support her family, she was employed with the Gilmore Center as a special need care giver. She loved her job and enjoyed working with her patients.
Kathy possessed a loving and gentle spirit. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. During her leisure time she enjoyed cooking, cleaning, decorating, listening to music and spending time with her family.
On February 26, 2018, after a brief illness, she was called to her eternal home. She will be greatly missed by her family her patients and coworkers who will treasure her memory in their hearts.
She is survived by her husband; Mr. Johnny Ray Harris, her mother; Mrs. Geneva C. King, three children; Ms. Tomekia Harris, Ms. Shenna Harris and Ms. Breanna Harris all of Thomaston, GA. Seven grandchildren also survived. One sister: Mrs. Kay (Lorenzo) Howell and one brother; Mr. Kenneth Harris both of Thomaston, GA. Aunts and uncles include; Mrs. Betty (Eddie) Fagan, Mr. Bobby Lee Childs, Mr. Allen Childs all of Thomaston, GA. Mr. Larry (Brenda) Biggs, Mr. Freddie (Ruth) Biggs and Mr. Lorenzo(Sylvia) Harris all of Atlanta, GA. Mrs. Ailene (Robert) Clark of Rayford, NC, Mrs. Linda (Kenneth) McBeath of Montgomery, AL and Mr. John Milton of Dublin, GA. Sisters and brothers-in-law, Mrs. Carolyn (Arthur) Price, Mr. William(Greta) Harris, Mr. Brian (Reaundra) Harris and Mr. Johnny Clarence (Rebecca) Raines all of Thomaston, GA. Ms. Gloria Harris and Ms. Jeanette Harris both of Atlanta, GA and Mrs. Nellie Ruth Harris of Barnesville, GA. A host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends.
