Margaret Cecelia Miller, age 89, of Oxford, passed away on Friday, March 30, 2018, surrounded by her loving family.

Margaret was born on April 23, 1928 on her grandparent’s farm in Jessup, Maryland. She is the daughter of the late John A. Simmons and Bertha Malecki Simmons.

Margaret moved to Oxford, NJ as a baby and was a lifelong resident. She attended Washington High School. She was a member of the Oxford Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary and the Oxford Second Presbyterian Church where she taught Sunday School.

Margaret was employed by the Pohatcong Hosiery Mill, Warren Haven Nursing Home, Visiting Homemakers Service of Warren County and assisted her husband with his business, George H. Miller Excavating & General Trucking in Oxford, NJ.

Margaret is preceded in death by her brothers John W. Simmons and Walter G. Simmons. Her loving husband, George H. Miller, preceded her in death in 2010 after 62 years of marriage.

Margaret is survived by a daughter, Debra Miller of Oxford, NJ, a son, Kevin G. and wife Rochelle Miller of Belvidere, NJ. Three grandchildren: Robert McManus, Kyle Miller and Rayna Harrison and two great-grandchildren, Zoey and Marshal. Two sisters in law: Alice Simmons and her companion Fred Rogers and Victoria Simmons. Two nieces: Kathy Oiler and her husband Nate and Beverley Connolly and her husband Robert. A nephew: John W. Simmons II and many other friends and family.
