Lena Mae Day Cook, age 91, of Jackson, GA died Friday afternoon at her residence

A native of Social Circle, GA and a daughter of the late E. R. and Annie Mae Gunn Day also preceded in death by her husband Marion Boyd (Buck) Cook and her son Hershel Cook ...

Ms. Lena Mae was a dedicated Christian lady who dearly loved her family and her church. She was saved in 1937 shortly after the Jackson Church of the Nazarene was established and was a member there for the last 75 years.

She was employed by the Pepperton Cotton Mill and later retired from American Mills at the age of 71. She taught Sunday School, worked with Missions and was on the Church Board of the Jackson Church of the Nazarene. She enjoyed painting, cooking and growing flowers.

Survivors include ::
her son :
Wayne Cook ( wife Ioline ) of Jackson, Ga.
her daughters :
Susan Thompson of Prattsville, AL,
Ann Greene (husband Glenn ) , Leesburg, GA,

nine grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.

Funeral services for Lena Mae Day Cook will be Sunday afternoon at 2:00PM at the Jackson Church of the Nazarene with the Rev. Tom Cook and Rev. Billy Ring will officiate her service following burial into the Jackson City Cemetery ..
