Mrs. Lexie Ella Settle Holbrook, age 110 of Wilkesboro, passed away Friday, March 30, 2018 at Wilkes Sr. Village.
Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM, Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at Reins Sturdivant Chapel with Rev. Jeff Collins officiating. Burial will be in Mountlawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 11:30 until 12:30 prior to the service at Reins Sturdivant Funeral Home.
Mrs. Holbrook was born November 22, 1907 in Wilkes County to Enos Watson and Ellen Elvira Tharpe Settle. She was retired from Pete’s Market and was a member of Hinshaw Street Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband; William Paul Holbrook, a son; Larry Paul Holbrook, three sisters; Viola Pardew, Gladys Durham, Nell Heidel and three brothers; Claude Settle, Cletus Settle, Virgil Settle.
Mrs. Holbrook is survived by a son; Kenneth Holbrook and wife; Georgia of Wilkesboro, four grandsons; Scott Holbrook and wife, Jill, Todd Hobrook and wife, Dana, Michael Holbrook and wife, Lourdes and Rebecca Taylor and husband, Ricky, seven great grandchildren; Matthew Holbrook , Kenzie Holbrook, Lara Holbrook, Nicole Wendorf, Matt Malone , Zack Blevins and Benjamin Holbrook and one great great grandchild.
