PAUL E. CHAMBERS, 78, of Fort Wayne, died on Good Friday, March 30, 2018, at his home in Fort Wayne, Ind. Born Dec. 6, 1939 in Fort Wayne, Ind., he was the son of the late Paul Chambers Sr. and Lucy Chambers. Paul graduated from New Haven High School. He lived in Columbia City for 14 years. Paul worked as a Machine Repairman at Harvester for 25 years and as a power tool repairman at General Motors where he retired in 2004 after 18 years of service. He also served proudly in the United States Air Force. His favorite pastimes were raising horses, fishing and hunting. Paul is survived by his wife, Barbara Chambers; first wife and mother of his children, Roberta Chambers; three sons, Paul (Diana) Chambers III, Barry (Jodi) Chambers, Bryan (Kathy) Chambers; two daughters, Michelle London, Kristi Chambers; two sisters, Thelma Williams, Lois McKinney; grandchildren, Alexis, Paul IV, Chase, Ethan, Tiahna, Kamyra and A'varie; four great-grandchildren, and a host nieces and nephews. Paul was also preceded in death by his daughter, Mary Lynn Chambers. Mass of Christian Burial is 11 a.m. on Saturday, April 7, 2018, at Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, 1122 S. Clinton Street, with calling one hour prior. Visitation also from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, April 6, 2018, at Divine Mercy Funeral Home, 3500 Lake Ave., Fort Wayne. Burial will be in Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Cancer Services and Visiting Nurse & Hospice Home.
