Mrs. Gill was born in Wayne County, Oct. 9, 1894, the daughter of George and Cordia Holman Johnson.
She attended the Johnson School north of Enterprise, which was located on land donated by her grandfather, George Johnson.
On Oct. 5, 1913, she married James S. Gill, a farmer and oilfield employee. He died Nov. 7, 1968.
Mrs. Gill was a housewife and homemaker during her marriage. She was the last living member of the Pin Hook Christian Church located north of Enterprise.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs Doris Starr; four sisters, Chloe Feller, Shirley Reid, Sarah Atteberry, and Genevieve Hodgeson; three granddaughters and three great-granddaughters.
She was preceded in death by a son.
Funeral services were by Hosselton Funeral Home at Cisne.
