Harry Brindle, 80, dean of the Washington County (Md.) Bar Association, died at Devitt's Camp at Allenwood, Pa., Saturday afternoon.

Mr. Brindle had gone to Allenwood to recuperate from an illness. He was stricken suddenly on Saturday with complications from which he failed to rally. Mr. Brindle resided at 52 North Avenue, Hagerstown.

Born in Cumberland County, Pa., in June 1867, Mr. Brindle moved to Hagerstown, about 50 years ago. After studying law, he was admitted to the bar in 1901 and continued his practice until his recent illness.

He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Grace (Hockman) Brindle, and one son, Robert H. Brindle, Hagerstown.

Mr. Brindle is a brother-in-law of S.D. Hockman, and Mrs. Katherine D. Washabaugh, Waynesboro and Major J.D. Hockman, Greencastle.

Funeral services will be held at his late home, 52 North Avenue, Hagerstown at 2 p.m., Tuesday with Rev. Scott R. Wagner, D.D., officiating.
