Rebecca was a member of the Latham United Methodist Church Huntsville, Alabama; a Life Member of the American Legion Auxiliary, Post 370 Michigan; the Ladies Auxiliary of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie 3646; Past President of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Berkley, Michigan Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 9222; and a Member of Women of the Moose, Skidway Lake, Michigan Chapter 1672.
Survivors include five children, Rebecca Pearl Bennett of Flint, Michigan, Harold Amos Howell of Ortonville, Michigan, Annie Schwartz of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Mary Lavinia Thornton of Huntsville, Alabama, and Margaret Rae Donkerbrook of Alexandria, Virginia; 11 grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren; one sister-in-law, Mary Morris Collier of Charlottesville; and a number of nieces, nephews, and other extended family members.
A funeral service was conducted at Thacker Brothers Scottsville Funeral Home by Pastor Bruce Lugn.
