Eric Joaquin Martin, 51, of Westminster, passed away March 28, 2018.

He was born December 8, 1966 in Kimball, Nebraska, the son of Darrell and Sophia (Jones) Martin.

He was a graduate of Westminster High School.

Eric was an altar server at Holy Ghost Church. He also attended the Kateri Parish. He was also a member of the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe.

Eric liked listening to music, watching movies, going to concerts, going downtown and going to jazz clubs. He also enjoyed taking care of his father and was an excellent caregiver. Eric would also joke with his nieces and nephews and make them laugh. He loved to talk on long drives and was known to talk 16-hours straight. He was very popular and was the life of any party that he attended. Eric was known as a kind-hearted and gentle man. He will be dearly missed.

Eric is survived by Three siblings, Adrienne Ruth Martin, Darrell Scott (Gina Martinez) Martin and Kristine (Matt) Etzenhouser; Four Nieces, Camillia Rose Martinez, Nicole Toshina Martin, Ana Aishia Quintana and Yneece Martinez; Three Nephews, Alex Etzenhouser, Zacoya Martinez and Michael Etzenhouser; three great-nieces, Makayla, Deanna and Vianca; five great-nephews, "Poncho", Mikko, Arien, Dominic and Iziik; Grandmother, Therese Martin and many aunts including Maddie (Mike) Corrigan, uncles, cousins, extended family and friends and his Soulmate, Debbie Struck.

He is preceded in death by Father, Darrell J. Martin and Mother, Sophia Lucille Martin.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Eric's name to St. Joseph's Indian School, P.O. Box 3001301 N Main Street, Chamberlain, SD 57325-0300.
