Betty lived in Duncan the majority of her life and was very proud member Duncan High School Class of 1955, coordinating many reunions for this group of close friends. She was an active and long time member of First Baptist Church of Duncan where she served as a greeter and with her Sunday school class each week and in many other capacities.
Betty spent her professional life as a bookkeeper and tax preparer first for Walt Fortner then L.E. Jones Production Company where she retired in 2016, but she continued working for many smaller companies through this tax season.
However, her true passion was fulfilling her role as Nana for her many grandchildren and great grandchildren. They could always count on Nana being there for them whether it be a special day or if they were in need. During her final days they were all able to return the privilege and come to Duncan and express their love and admiration for their wonderful Nana.
She is survived by her children, Rocky and his wife Marquetta Bullard of Duncan and Tonya, her husband Curtis De Keyrel of Keller, Texas, her grandchildren, Parker Francis, Brandi Detherow, Courtney Francis, Brittany Bullard, Shane Bullard, Conner Francis, James Stepp, Kindyl De Keyrel and Rylie De Keyrel, twelve great grandchildren and her brother, Charles Burgin of Dallas, Texas.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gene Bullard, her parents, L.B. and Ethel Burgin, brother Boyd Burgin, sisters, Lucille Bienek, Imaree Hooper, Earleen Dibrell, Dorthy Zumar and Inetta Mullins and a daughter, Gina Bullard Francis.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 4, 2018 at First Baptist Church, Duncan with Pastor Bryan Pain officiating. Interment will follow at Duncan Cemetery.
Services under the direction of Don Grantham Funeral Home, Duncan, Oklahoma.
