Virginia “Jeanie” Dorothy Loomis, 95, of Clairton, formerly of Glassport, passed away at Jefferson Regional Hospital on Thursday, March 29, 2018. She was born September 4, 1922 in McKeesport to the late John and Mary Germek Pavol. Virginia was the loving wife of the late Leland Russell Loomis for 39 years. She is survived by her son, Donald R. Loomis and her dog Shadow. Along with her parents and husband, Virginia was preceded in death by brother, Robert Pavol. She was a graduate of Glassport High School & Duffs Business School, was a member of St. Clare of Assisi Church, loved sports, sewing, bingo, ceramics, and was a member of Wilson Civic Association. Visitation will take place from 2 – 4 and 6 – 8 on Monday, April 2, 2018 at S.M. FINNEY FUNERAL HOME, 432 N. 6th Street, Clairton, PA 15025. A mass will take place on Tuesday, April 3, 2018 at 10:00 am at St. Clare of Assis Church in Clairton followed by interment at Calvary Cemetery in Port Vue.
