Mr. Catherman was born Jan. 26, 1952, in Lewisburg, a son of Charles O. Sr. and Eleanor M. (Kurtz) Catherman of West Milton.
He was a 1969 graduate of Milton High School, and a 1973 graduate of Lock Haven University. He also studied at Dartmouth College. He was a graduate of the Credit Research Foundation Mid-Career Program and the Graduate School of Credit and Financial Management at Dartmouth College.
Mr. Catherman was employed as the director of credit of Customer Financial Services at Nabisco, Wilkes-Barre.
He was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ, West Milton.
He was a member of Lambda Chi Fraternity. He was an advisory board member of the National Manufacturer Credit Group; the National Store Door Credit Group; and the National Deduction Resolution Group. He was a former board member of the Board of Directors for Leadership, Wilkes-Barre, and vice chairman of Fund Raising Campaign for the Osterhout Library and Penn State, Wilkes-Barre.
Surviving, in addition to his parents, are an aunt, Marion Kurtz of RR Muncy; several cousins; and the special person in his life, Peggy Sheltman of West Milton.
Friends may call from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Shaw Funeral Home. Burial will be in Mifflinburg Cemetery.
