Bob C. Smith, 85, passed away on March 28, 2017 in Prague, OK. He was born on April 2, 1932 in Okfuskee County, OK to Charlie and Helen Smith. Bob worked for 30+ years in Alaska for Union Oil Company, doing off shore drilling. While working in Alaska, Bob was nicknamed, “Boss” and “Big Bad Bob” however he always had a large heart. In 1994, he retired and moved back to his home in Prague. Bob was an avid fisherman and hunter, wood worker, and a proud member of the NRA. He enjoyed time spent with his special fishing/hunting buddy, Wendell. Helping children was always important to Bob whether it was donating to St. Jude’s, The Boys and Girls Clubs of America, or any other charity.

He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Ruthie Lu Smith; sisters, Carley Day and husband Edwin, Mary Ann Gregory, and Mindy and Danny Calger; brother-in-laws, Gene Ellison, and Darrell Schima; step-son, Kenny Lynn; and, step-son-in-law, Bob Lazenby.

Survivors include his loving wife, Regina Yvonne Smith; sons, Terry and Traci Smith of Oklahoma City, OK and Aaron and Jenny Smith of Shawnee, OK; daughters, Patricia and John Pennington of McAlester, OK, Brenda Bennett of Fairfax, OK, and LuVonda and Greg Goad of Ralston, OK; brothers, Jerry and Sharon Smith of Prague, OK, and Sammy and Linda Smith of Prague, OK; sisters, Joyce Ellison of Prague, OK, Francis and T.J. Simek of Prague, OK, and Sue Schima of Prague, OK; step-daughters, Bonnie Lazenby, Connie and Smoky Sutton, Dawne Arnold, Kim and Jeff Black, Stormy Aymelak, and Dixie and Gene Hoopes; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, cousins, nieces, and nephews who will miss him dearly. The family would like to give a special thank you to the Prague Hospital for the loving care provided to “Uncle Bob”.

The family will receive friends Friday, March 30, 2018 from 6:00-8:00 at Parks Brothers Funeral. A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, March 31, 2018 at the Prague Cemetery. Arrangements under the direction of Parks Brothers Funeral Service in Prague.
