Jackie Lee George, 67, of Axton, Virginia passed away Thursday, March 29, 2018, at his home. He was born May 4, 1950, in Martinsville, to the late Jack George and Minnie Turner Cox. He was a member of Landmark Baptist Church and retired from W. M. Bassett Furniture Company.
Mr. George is survived by his daughter, Tiffany George Keys and husband, Christopher H. Keys; son, Daren K. George and wife, Stephanie A. George; sister, Deborah C. Walters; brother, Richard C. Cox; grandchildren, Kimberlyn Richardson, Justis Keys, and Katie Keys; and special life companion, Brenda Prentice.
The funeral will be Saturday, March 31, 2018, at 11:00 A. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel, with Dr. J. D. Harmon officiating. Burial will follow at Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends Friday, March 30, 2018, from 6:00 P. M. to 8:00 P. M. at Wright Funeral Service Chapel and other times at the home of Deborah Walters, at 110 Kilarney Court, Ridgeway, Virginia.
