Pamela J. Mitchell, 70, of Springfield, formerly of Ottawa, passed away Tuesday, March 27, 2018 at Heritage Health in Springfield.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Tuesday, April 3 at Ottawa Funeral Home with Pastor Robert Harrison officiating. Visitation will be from 9 - 11 am, prior to services, at the funeral home. She will be buried at Oakwood Memorial Park.
Pamela was born November 12, 1947 in Ottawa to Samuel R. and Birdie J. (Beguin) Warrick. She married James A. Mitchell Jr. May 25, 1971 at the Ottawa courthouse; he passed away on January 26th, 1977. She loved spending time with her family, watching racing, reading, studying the bible. She belonged to First United Methodist of Springfield, Illinois.
She is survived by her children, Buddy Clark, Byron (Jamie) Mitchell, and Jason Mitchell; her son in law, James (Fran) Mitchell; daughter-in-law Letitia (Steve) Martin; daughter-in-law, Patricia Sue Mitchell; daughter-in-law, Sherry Bentley; grandchildren, Logan Ebblherr, Samantha Mitchell, Jarod Mitchell, Bill Bentley, James Bentley, Tony Bentley, Laurie Thomas, Stephanie Cogdal, Nicole Parker, Christopher Martin, and Becca Moon; and siblings, Debra (Mark) Cline and Linda (James) Tri.
She was preceded in death by her parents, one brother, Don Warrick; and her son-in-law, Mick Bentley.
