He is survived by brother William R. Simpson (spouse Marie); sister Joyce A. Thompson (spouse Wade); nieces Nicole O'Keefe (Ken), Paula Mosby (Gray), Rebecca Simpson Steele (Justin); and great-nieces Margaret Mosby and Stella Steele and great nephews Daniel and Ryan O'Keefe.
