He was the son of Joseph and Cleopha (Eckstein) Brunswick. On Jul 23, 1966, he married Ruth Braun, who survives in Carthagena.
Also surviving are four daughters: Connie (Stan) Frazee, New Bremen, Bernice (George) Lefeld, St. Henry, Barb (Chris) Larka, Cincinnati, and Jenny (Mark) Broerman, North Star; two sons: Ron (Julie), Maria Stein, and Dan Bruswick, St. Henry; four brothers: Ken (Ann), Bryant, IN, Gene, Coldwater, Roger (Kathy), St. Henry, and Cy (Donna) Brunswick, St. Peter; three sisters: Anna Marie Schlamb-Hale, Greenville, Eileen (Jerry) Bohman, Chickasaw, and Ginny (Paul) Fortkamp, St. Peter; seven sisters-in-law: Dorothy Sudhoff, St. Anthony, Rosemary (George) Bruns, Chickasaw, Betty Meyer, Newport, Janet Braun, St. Henry, Marlene (Roman) Fullenkamp, Bryant, IN, Kathy (Richard) Highley, Celina, and Karen (Paul) Boeke, Cassella; and thirteen grandchildren.

A member of St. Henry Catholic Church and the St. Henry Knights of Columbus. he retired from Mercer County Community Hospital as the supervisor of the Maintenance Dept. He enjoyed wood working, fishing, watching his grandchildren’s sporting events, spending time with his family, and talking with anyone he met. He never knew a stranger. He could fix anything.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Henry Catholic Church, St. Henry. Burial will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
