Chad Ernest Russell, age 34, of East Dublin, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2018.
Chad was a Graduate of East Laurens High School Class of 2002. He also worked at Easter Seals.
He was a strong person when it came to life. He attended Buckhorn United Methodist Church in Dexter and also attended Faith Christian Assembly in East Dublin. He was a Georgia Bulldogs Fan through and through. He had a rule in his room that anyone who wasn’t a bulldogs fan was not allowed. He took pride in that. He fought for his life from the day he was born until he took his last breath. He was right with the Lord and knew where he was going. He was born with Spin Bifida and was told he could never walk or talk but with a strong will and spirit he proved them wrong.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents; Gladys and Stanford Reese of Waverly Hall, Meda and Harold Alderman of Akron, Ohio, Ronald and Sara Myers of Austell, GA, and Emmie Darsey of Dexter, grandparents; Phylis June Darsey of Dexter, Stanford E. Reese of Daytona, FL, and Jessie Mae Russell NeSmith of East Dublin.
Services for Mr. Russell will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2018 at 11:00AM in Buckhorn United Methodist Church with burial to follow in the church Cemetery. Rev. Jared Middleton, Dr. Doug Bridges, and Michael Beard will officiate. Honorary speaker will be G.W. Darsey.
