Born in Maryville, TN and a resident of Aiken County, SC, most of his life, he was a son of the late Howard Jackson and Dorothy Lillard Tilley.
A Vietnam Veteran, he proudly and with honor served his country in the United States Navy. He was a charter member of the Jackson Bible Church, where he was a Deacon and was very active prior to his health declining. Mike enjoyed knife collecting. Many people who came into contact with him received a knife. He also enjoyed cars.
Additional family members include his children, Michael Jeffrey Tilley and his wife, Leslie and Lena Alison Baker and her husband the late Freeman Edward Baker, all of Jackson, SC; siblings, Edward Doug Tilley, Beech Island, SC and Randall Tilley, Cleveland, TN; grandchildren, Leslie Nicole Ford and her husband, Chad, Rachel Tiffany Tilley, Robert Anthony Quinn, Lena Brittany Baker and Freeman Edward “E.J.” Baker, Jr. and great-grandchildren, Chad James “C.J.” Ford, II and Jamey Nicole Ford.
Interment will follow in Jackson Memorial Park, Jackson, SC.
