Florence May (Dudley) Amberman, 99, of Inverness, FL, died Saturday, March 17, 2018 at Citrus Health and Rehabilitation under the care of Hospice of Citrus and the Nature Coast. She was born April 11, 1918 in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, Kings County, NY to George Nabb and Florence Mae (Taylor) Dudley. She married Raymond C. Amberman on April 24, 1936 at Sayville Methodist Church, Sayville, Suffolk County, NY. They had four daughters.

In 1953, She moved from Lindenhurst, Long Island, NY to Pinellas Park, FL where she and her husband built the Lazy A Trailer Court. They retired to Citrus County, FL in 1983.

Florence was preceded in death by her husband Ray of 67 years; also her daughter Florence Estelle King. Survivors include Shirley Guenette and her husband Len of Inverness; Jean Hancock and her husband Ed of Eatonton, GA; and Rene'e Babin Ball and her husband Joe of Friendswood, TX; ten grandchildren; and 17 great grandchildren.

There was a celebration of her life on Saturday, March 17th with close family members. She will be interred in the family plot at Memorial Gardens Cemetery in St. Petersburg, FL. Heinz Funeral Home & Cremation, Inverness, FL.
