BURFORDVILLE — Jesse Forrest Dudley, 76 years old, of Burfordville Route I, died Tuesday night in Southeast Missouri Hospital where he had been a patient since Friday.
He was born March 8, 1905, in New Haven, III., to David and Lure Goforth Dudley. Mr. Dudley retired in 1970, after 47 years as a machinist in the Water Service Department of the Frisco Railway Company.
He was a member of Grace Community Church in Fredricktown, and of the Chaffee Masonic Lodge AF and AM.
On Dec 30, 1923, he married Florence Skelton of Vienna, III. She survives.
Additional survivors include sons Robert Dudley, Burfordville Route 1, Reginald Dudley, Dexter, and John D. Dudley, Whitewater; a daughter, Mrs. Dennis Bess, Chaffee, a brother, Clarence Earl Dudley, Chaffee, a sister Mrs. Eugene Cunningham, Memphis, Tenn., a stepsister, Mrs. Elna Miller, Hot Springs, Ark, 16 grand-children and 10 great-grandchildren.
Two sons, Paul and Forrest Earl, preceded him in death.
Friends may call after 6.30 p m today at the Amick-Burnett Funeral Home in Chaffee.
Funeral service will be held at the funeral home at 2 p m Friday. The Revs Floyd and Jack Heady, both of Grace Community Church in Fredericktown, will officiate, and burial will be in Union Park Cemetery at Chaffee.
