Always a trend setter, Linda Edmiston Rankin was a garage sale aficionado long before it was cool. On Monday, March 26th, she shopped her final sale. After years of joyfully rummaging through other people’s unwanted treasures, Linda has passed down her laminated map of Plano and will be rejoining all the loved ones who have gone before her. Her memory, body, and soul have been restored. She can now enjoy an afternoon of digging in the flower bed with her husband or dancing until dawn. Now, reading the paper with the cat in her lap will be a day-long event, and she can feast on her favorite foods and chocolate without worrying about calories. Her coffee cup will never be empty, her piano will never be out of tune, there will always be enough hot water for a nice long soak in the tub, and her sewing machine will never get jammed.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband of 44 years, Oliver. She is survived by her daughters, Melanie Rankin, of Grand Prairie, and Melissa Migis (husband Joe, children Maddie and Michael) of Shady Shores.
Visitation will be on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at DeBerry Funeral Director in Denton, Texas from 5 to 7 P.M. Funeral service will be held at 10 A.M. on Friday, March 30th at also at DeBerry.
