Clyde Tyler Edwards, Jr., 92, passed away March 27, 2018, in his daughter’s home in Quinton where he resided for the past ten years. Born on October 27, 1925, to the late Clyde Tyler Edwards, Sr. and Fannie Marks Edwards, he was a native and long-time resident of Franklin. Mr. Edwards was preceded in death by his wife of 68 years Rose Jones Edwards; a son Larry Edwards; a grandson Paul Tyler Marks; and a brother Marks Edwards. Mr. Edwards was a WWII Navy veteran, a member of Delaware Hunt Club, a member of Sycamore Baptist Church, and retired from the City of Franklin.

Mr. Edwards is survived by a daughter Lynn Edwards Marks (Wayne); a son Clyde Tyler “Tye” Edwards, III (Katie); a brother Mills Robert “Bob” Edwards; five grandchildren William Michael Marks (Erika), Christopher Tyler Edwards, Holly L. Stansley (Brett), Brandon Franklin Edwards, and Josh Patrick Edwards; and 2 great-grandchildren Dominic D. Stansley and Jackson Paul Marks.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 31, 2018 in Wright Funeral Home with Rev. Dr. Roger Crump officiating. The burial will follow at Southampton Memorial Park.
