In September of 1947, he met and married Mary Jimmie Booth. Together they raised four children in God's word, worshipping for over 60 years, 50 of that as a deacon, at College View Baptist Church in Magnolia. Jack loved the Lord, was a devoted member.
Mr. Rogers worked for Southern Extrusion and Howmet Aluminum Corporation from 1950 to 1983, and after much world travel, including being a pilot for the company, he retired as President/General Manager. In 1983, Jack founded and was the President of Rogers and Associates, a Manufacturers' Representative and Sales Agency until he retired again in 1993. He was Past-President and a member of the Board of Directors of Magnolia Country Club. Jack was a dedicated & proud member of the Masonic Lodge, McNeil #440 for over 50+ years which he held close to his heart, and a past member of the Arkansas State Chamber of Commerce.
"Big Jack" loved his family, and they love him. Well known as a talented "guitar playing man", he taught his children the love of music and the outdoors. Many hours were spent gathered "picking and a singing" with family and friends, on the golf course or fishing at the farm in McNeil, where he was born and raised.
He was preceded in death by his two sons, Andrew "Andy" Rogers and "Little Jack" Evan Rogers. His parents, two brothers and one sister, and a host of in-laws.
Jack is survived by his wife of 70 grand and glorious years, Mary Jimmie Booth Rogers; one son, Anthony Booth Rogers and wife Sheila, of Strong, Arkansas, one daughter, Robbie Rogers Gaiennie of Shreveport, Louisiana, four grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, 4 nieces, 8 nephews and his sister in-law Shirley Rogers of Magnolia.
