Jack was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Charles and Bobbie. He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Shirley Sutton Gilley; son, Jeff Gilley; daughter, Stacy Seelbach; son-in-law, Sean Seelbach; grandsons Caleb Gilley and wife Kerby Gilley, Jared Gilley, Justin Gilley, Gavin Seelbach; granddaughter, Grace Seelbach; great-grandson, Cain Gilley; two brothers, two sisters and many nieces and nephews.
Jack was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather. He was an avid hunter that looked forward to deer season each year. He loved going to the deer lease and spending time with his son and friends, he also took his grandson, Caleb, on the youth hunt each year. Jack enjoyed making custom pens and hunting knives, he was highly creative and inventive and could fix anything. He also enjoyed taking his '56 Tbird to car shows, where he won many awards. During his younger days, he enjoyed weekends filled with water skiing, riding motorcycles, ATV's and boating with his family and friends where he taught many how to water ski. His memory will live in our hearts forever.
Services will be held Thursday, March 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Stewart Family Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sherman Mayfield and Rev. Dale Perry officiating.
Burial will follow at Cathedral in the Pines under the direction of Stewart Family Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Rick Barnes, Sonny Hale, Matt Helms, Sean Seelbach, Larry Smith and Craig Snider.
