LOGAN - After 28 years’ residence near Logan, Thomas G. Ball died at his home south of Logan on Tuesday, October 11. He was in his 78th year.
Mr. Ball was born in Butler county, Ohio, and came to Cass county, Michigan, at the age of 5 years. He was married to Ann Vanderhoof, removing to Iowa in 1882, where he had since resided. He is survived by five sons and one daughter. They are Allister Ball, Coperite, Mich.; Elmer Ball, Missouri Valley; Wilbur, Clarence and George Ball, Logan; Mrs. George Howard, Logan.
The funeral service was held yesterday afternoon at the Presbyterian church, conducted by Rev. C. S. Lyles, pastor of the Methodist church. Interment was in the Logan cemetery.
