Born May 30, 1944, in Richfield, Utah to D.W. and Florence Underwood Ogden, he attended school in Richfield, Utah. After graduation he served in the National Guard.
He married his sweetheart, Judi Johnson, on October 11, 1963. They have three children, Rick (Melissa), Stefonee, Eric (Leslie). Other survivors include in-laws, Aden and Royce Johnson; sister Elanor (Doug) Whise-nant; brothers, Marshall (Jolene), Corwin (Linda), Merrill (Diane), and Kenyon (Naomi). His grandchildren, who were his world are: Jaqueline, Saxon, Tanner, Aden, Royce, Baylee and Tate. He was preceded in death by his parents D.W. and Florence Underwood Ogden.
Pappy was happiest in the outdoors. He loved fishing, hunting, working in the garden, and building whatever Judi drew for him while tinkering in his famous garage. He was blessed with an abundance of patience and a sly wit.
Funeral services will be held Saturday, August 11, 2000 at 1 p.m. in the Richfield 1st, 3rd and 11th LDS Chapel, 985 South 400 West, Richfield, Utah. Friends may call at the Magleby Mortuary, 50 S. 100 W. in Richfield, on Saturday from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Richfield City Cemetery. Funeral directors, Neal S. Magleby & Sons Mortuary, Richfield, UT.
