Raymond B. Hanson, 92, of Rockford, passed away on Monday, March 26, 2018 in his home. Born on June 17, 1925, in Chicago, the son of Ben and Mary Jane (Riddell) Hanson.

He graduated from Marengo Community High School in Marengo, IL, class of 1943. Raymond was a U.S. Army Corporal veteran. He married Esther Larson on December 18, 1954 in Rockford. She predeceased him on May 6, 2014.

Raymond worked at White Sundstrand Corp for 30 years. He was a member of Salem Lutheran Church where he served in many capacities including, usher, president of the church council, assisting in communion, men's group, and volunteer work. Raymond was also a member of the School Board.

Survived by: children, Mike (Collette) Hanson, Sandy Betts (Tim Verwiebe), and Steve (Sue) Hanson; grandchildren, Ben Hanson, Rebecca Hanson, Brian (Katie) Bramel, and Mary (Dan) Dixon-Bramel; and brother, Phillip (Mary) Hanson.

Predeceased by: parents; wife; and brothers, Robert and Roy Hanson.

Funeral Service on Saturday, March 31, 2018 in Salem Lutheran Church. Burial at Sunset Memorial Gardens.
