Phyllis was born May 15, 1925 in Des Moines, IA to Theodore and Anna (LaVien) Jansen. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1943. Phyllis was a homemaker and also worked at Wes and Charles Market in Des Moines. She was a member of the Clive Good Idea Club and a Clive School Board Member.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Linda (Ted) Roselius of Fort Collins, CO; son, David (Helen) Franklin of Weiser, ID; two nephews, James (Patty) Jansen of Clive and Richard Adkins of Dexter; and niece, Joanne (Raymond) Thompson of Earlham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley "Wes" Franklin; one brother and four sisters.
