Phyllis Jean Franklin, 90, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at Community Care Center in Stuart. Visitation will be from 1:45 to 3 p.m. Wednesday, October 28, 2015 at McLaren's Chapel, 801 - 19th Street, West Des Moines, IA 50265 with a funeral service at 3 p.m. Entombment will take place at Resthaven Mausoleum in West Des Moines.

Phyllis was born May 15, 1925 in Des Moines, IA to Theodore and Anna (LaVien) Jansen. She graduated from Roosevelt High School in 1943. Phyllis was a homemaker and also worked at Wes and Charles Market in Des Moines. She was a member of the Clive Good Idea Club and a Clive School Board Member.

Phyllis is survived by her daughter, Linda (Ted) Roselius of Fort Collins, CO; son, David (Helen) Franklin of Weiser, ID; two nephews, James (Patty) Jansen of Clive and Richard Adkins of Dexter; and niece, Joanne (Raymond) Thompson of Earlham. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wesley "Wes" Franklin; one brother and four sisters.
