Brenda Faye McDonald was the youngest child born March 29, 1959 to Virgil "J.B." McDonald and Carlean Houston McDonald in Kemper County, MS.

She was a member of Mt. Zion Moscow Baptist Church in DeKalb, MS.

She attended West Kemper High School in DeKalb, MS. She was the mother of one child, a daughter.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her sisters of whom she called or talked to everyday. She loved all of her nieces and nephews dearly, but her nephews held a special place in her heart. She also enjoyed working in her yard and shopping.

Anyone who knew Brenda knew that she was definitely a fashionista, and she had a smile that would light up any room.

She died March 26, 2018 at the age of 58.

She was the Mother of Jamaine McDonald; the Daughter of Virgil "J.B." McDonald and Carlean Houston McDonald; the Sister of Ruthie Mae McDonald McGee, Annie Mae McDonald Brown, Clara Jane McDonald Brown, Pearlean McDonald Clark, Easter Jane McDonald Love, Diane McDonald Burton, Virgil McDonald, Joe McDonald, and one infant brother; the Paternal Granddaughter of Bob McDonald and Easter Adams McDonald; the Maternal Granddaughter of Silas Houston and Celie Gully Houston Cole; and the Maternal Step Granddaughter of Stennis Cole.
