Christina K Martinez, a native of Sindelfingen, Germany and resident of Gonzales, passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at the age of 68.

Christina was a loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother, who loved spending time with her family and friends, particularly her 4 grandchildren. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, and going to the casino with her best friends, especially Janice Martinez.

Christina is survived by her loving husband of 49 years, Philip Martinez; daughters, Dana Simoneaux and husband, Ron, and Pamela Galindo and husband, Pedro; grandchildren, Kristin Simoneaux Harmon and husband, Joshua, Matthew Simoneaux, Emily Galindo, Audrey Galindo; sisters, Genevieve Krakowiak and Rose Chatman; brother, Seymour Krakowiak. Christina is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and friends, including her childhood friends, Sharon Waguespack Hicks and Regina Chmurka Falcon.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Stefan and Wtadystawa Krakowiak.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 29, 2018 at St. Theresa of Avila Catholic Church from 9:00 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am. Interment will follow at Hope Haven Gardens of Memory Cemetery on Hwy 30 in Gonzales.

Otis “Chuckie” Chatman, Julius Bush III, Julius Bush IV, Mike DeVeer, Logan Stewart, and William Governale will serve as pallbearers.
