Wilbur Joseph Ernst, 86, of Sardinia, died Monday, July 3, 2006 in Batavia.
Mr. Ernst was a retired hi-lo operator at Ford Motor Company and an Army veteran of World War II.
He was born March 1, 1920 in Sardinia, the son of the late Henry and Anna Botz Ernst.
Mr. Ernst is survived by his wife, Ferne C. Allman Ernst of Sardinia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Linda and Philip Dotson of Winchester and Patricia and Harold Busch of Sardinia; one son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Julianne Ernst of Mt. Orab; one brother, Howard Ernst of Xenia; two sisters, Grace Schwallie of Cincinnati and Dorothy Ernst of Mt. Orab; six grandchildren and two great-grandsons.
Visitation: 9:30-11 a.m. Friday, July 7, at St. Elizabeth Church in Sardinia.
Services: 11 a.m. Friday, July 7, at the church.
Burial: Sardinia Cemetery. Father Dohrman Byers officiating. Egbert Funeral Home is serving the family.
Memorials: Sardinia Life Squad or St. Elizabeth Church.
