Her two sons, Darrell and Adam, provided her with such joy while being a good mother and role model. She loved being a grandmother and bestowed love on her grandchildren with all her being. She had such strength and deep love. She was an awesome woman and loved by so many people.
Cheryl received her degree in Information Technology and worked as a Program Manager for the Information Technology Department for Skagit Valley College. She loved being a focal point for the IT Department and devoted her time and energy to ensure success in their plans and systems.
Cheryl was a dedicated fan of the Washington Huskies football team and attended many games for almost 30 seasons with Wayne. She could cheer as loud as anyone. Husky Stadium won’t be the same without her.
Cheryl enjoyed theater and music. She was part of the cast of several Anacortes Community Theater productions. She had a beautiful singing voice and loved to sing. Cheryl was an accomplished artist and loved oil painting. Her talents were evident in all her works. Her decorations and flower arrangements displayed at so many family events were just spontaneous outbursts of ability and artistry. Her love of nature and being outdoors, especially near the water was always dear to her soul.
She will be missed with unmeasurable deep sadness, by so many people who knew her. Cheryl was a sweet bright light and had a way of making everyone around her feel so special.
She is survived by her husband, Wayne; her two sons: Darrell (Tasha) Palmer and Adam (Kalie) Palmer; four grandchildren: Jordan, Matthew, Montana and Savanna Palmer; her two sisters: Judie Zersen and Virgie Dinnocente; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents: Maynard and Ruth (Atterberry) Lewis.
She will always be in our memories and in our hearts, with her spirit, with her strength and with her wonderful and delightful outlook on life.
A Memorial Service will be held at New Hope Church in Anacortes on Saturday, May 5, 2018 at 11 a.m.
