Joseph Raymond Lambert, 85, of Saco, passed away on Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Gosnell Memorial Hospice House in Scarborough.

He was born in Quebec, Canada on April 23, 1932, a son of Raoul and Juliette (Girouard) Lambert. He graduated from St. Louis High School, class of 1949.

After high school, Joseph enlisted and served his country in the United States Air Force. He was a radio operator and retired after three years as a staff sergeant.

Joseph started his career in manufacturing at Westpoint Pepperell as a bobbin boy and finished as supervisor of operations for Biddeford Textile, retiring in 1980.

His hobbies included golf and carpentry.

Most of all, Joseph loved his family and cherished the time he spent with them.

Mr. Lambert had great faith and was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church in Saco.

He was predeceased by his wife Claire (Perron) Lambert on October 21, 1987.

He is survived by his six children, Michael Lambert and his fiancee Holly Burnham, Linda Goss and her husband Andrew, Susan Tripp and her husband Larry, Scott Lambert and his wife Zina, Dana Lambert and his fiancee Jennifer Maurice and Tracy Millett and her fiancee Kevin Roy, 14 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.

Visiting hours will be from 2-4PM Thursday, March 29, 2018, with a funeral service at 4PM, at Cote Funeral Home Chapel, 87 James Street, Saco. Burial with military honors will be in the spring in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Saco.
