Mrs. Billy Ann Mitchell Terrell Allison, age 83, of West First Street, Denton, NC died Monday, March 26, 2018 at High Point Regional Hospital in High Point.

A funeral service will be held AT 2:00 PM Friday, March 30 at Central United Methodist Church conducted by Rev. Richard Blount and Rev. Benny Clodfelter. Burial will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens.

The family will see friends 6:00 to 8:00 PM Thursday at Briggs Funeral Home and other times will be at the residence on First Street.

Mrs. Allison was born December 8, 1934 in Davidson County to John Franklin Mitchell and Nona Rush Mitchell. She was a retired school teacher having taught at Denton Elementary School for 20 years and New Hanover Middle School for 11 years. She was a member of Central United Methodist Church where she served as chairman of the flower committee and was a member of the United Methodist Women .She was preceded in death by her husband Thayer Stem Allison and by a brother Joe Mitchell and a sister Mary Mitchell Wellons.

She is survived by a son, Colon Lee Terrell, Jr and wife Lynette of Mebane; daughters, Annette Terrell Barbee and husband Eric of Denton and Myra Terrell Flowers and husband Bennie of Climax; long- time best friend Wilson Carter and his family of Denton; brothers Wesley Mitchell of Asheboro and Sidney Mitchell of Jamestown; sisters Betty Mitchell Webb of Graham; 8 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren.
